Hello World.

My name is Barry. I’ll be one of two primary posters on this site. If there is something interesting going on that sparks my interest, or if I go somewhere and receive less than decent service I’ll be the first to post about it. I have views on almost any and every subject available. Some people say that I’m a funny guy. Some people say that my blogs are “read-worthy”. Some people say that I’m a few cups short of a full glass. I’d have to agree with all of those comments.

My world seems a bit more linear than most. Like, I feel that I see this world for what it is. I see people and can instantly place each and every one of them into a certain category that I have created within the realm of my brain. I don’t have to meet them. I don’t have to shake their very, unclean hand. I don’t even have to say a word to them. Sometimes, though, that gets me into trouble. I will put a girlfriend into the “datable” category, then later on realize that I misplaced her and she REALLY needed to be in the “dated, but what was I thinking” category. Ha ha..

I watch a LOT of movies. When I was in high school, my older brother always had this friend that would quote the “Monty Python” movies and I always looked on at him with disgust, because he’d ALWAY be quoting those movies and make it sound like he’s the witty one. When really, it was some dude, probably in a 12ft. x 12ft. room, smoking a cigarette and pouring over the script he just wrote to make sure that it’s ready to be produced into a movie. Yes, and he probably hasn’t had a girlfriend in decades. Anyways, so now when I’m at work and someone is talking to me, I’ve realized that I’m that loser that quotes movies. Now, that isn’t SO bad, except, I know EXACTLY what the person I’m talking to is thinking… “Wow, this dude is really unoriginal!”

So, the moral to that story is: Don’t quote movies, you look like a loser. And we all know how important our image is.
